My dad doesn't want to send me to a orthodontist right now and the permeant retainers on the back of my upper and front teeth are hindering my palate from expanding i also just dont like them if someone can show me how or send a tutorial and how to do this that would be great i tried using scissors and priers but that didn't work

you need to try go to a dentist even though your father doesn’t want to , you can’t remove them yourself

is it not possible to do it at home?
u mean the retainers u get after braces ? its to stabilize ur teeth other way the would move and braces were for nothing idk id u want this

but i hate this retainer actually too its uncomfortable to speak and put my tongue to my front teeth bcs of them , is it the same for you ?

and if that’s what u meant u can’t remove them urself need to go to ortho/ dentist

I was legit thinking the the other day, there’s this brace or maybe permanent retainer, some small piece of metal, they put behind my 2 front teeth when I had braces removed years ago. And it made me think if that somehow hindered me, I replied to another thread about wisdom teeth, the dental and ortho industry is so fucked up.
