How to repair skin/acne scars?

I have a bad habit where I pick my skin whenever I have a pimple or anything, and due to this I have multiple spots on my face that have been there for months, on one of my zygos I had a big ass pimple that I wouldn’t stop picking last year and it ended up getting huge and infected, now in the same place there are 2 small pimples/scars that won’t go away no matter how much I pick at them

Will tretinoin fix this? Or is it over for me?
