its a stock you invest in, and in doing so, u are basically investing in the largest companies (apple, microsoft, nvidia, etc.) which all perform well on average, hence why you get consistent returns each year

in what world do you live in?

I'm europoor working a dead-end job that only requires having functional limbs. Can save up 35k a year, so I can realistically invest 30k. Have my own car, but have to share apartment. I'm at the bottom of society, so I imagine people with better jobs can save up much more?
