How to stop being ignorant?

I don't know SHIT.

There's an indefinite amount of knowledge available, it's quite daunting. I know nothing about how the world works, any history, philosophy, math at a 5th grade level, etc.. I only care about knowing the things I want to know (The things I want to know are autistic game dev related stuff). If I am motivated, I will do the research.

Life is easier when you could just not give a fuck about anything else that happens around you, live under a rock. Just knowing that I know nothing, and that my life is boring because of it, is depressing. There's always those people you know that just have encyclopedia tier knowledge on pretty much everything. How and why do people do this? Won't someone just forget all of this knowledge since it really serves no purpose in our life other than just calling someone retarded for not knowing said subject?

Lol just read bro. I experienced ego death on 5 grams of shrooms. I was separated from my consciousness for what felt like eternity and things like race, nationality, gender, etc felt insignificant to me. It felt like I lived eons. I started reading more and the best book I can recommend is the republic by plato. Its the basis of western philosophy, culture, and thought. Socrates describes a hypothetical state and what views snd attributes it should have to function properly.
