I've had this issue since age 16 and am in my 20s now and nothing ever fixed it. Other than a dozen or so times, I haven't had unbroken sleep for so many years now. I'm lucky if I only wake up once a night, and the norm is 2-4 for me, some of them being to pee and some for seemingly no reason. Probably have sleep apnea which is causing some of this.

take melatonin

Do a first and second sleep

It’s supposed to imitate how humans slept when we were “primal” or whatever

Ever since I could remember I was always waking up to piss exactly once per night. Recently I have started fighting it and now maybe half of the days in the week I don't wake up to piss. (This is a guide for people who are sure they don't have some sort of a condition)

Most people think it's because of you drinking too much water before sleep but that's always never the cause unless you chug 0.5L+.

The main cause is shitty sleep quality, mainly the REM phases that are on the lighter side, become too light when sleep quality is not good and that causes you to wake up every time you reach the lighter REM phases.

Contrary to the popular belief, sleep start and sleep quality are very tightly intertwined. If you sleep later than usual it starts shifting your sleep cycles compared to the melatonin release, which causes inconsistent sleep patterns

So how to fix this?

2 hours before bed: big lights off + blue light blocking mode on phone + bluelight glasses + ashwaghanda ksm66 500mg + l theanine 500mg

No caffeine closer than 10 hours before sleep

30 mins before sleep: 300mg elemental magnesium glycinate, 500-1000mg l tryptophan.

Never wake up one hour later or earlier than the day before. Sunlight upon waking up or UV lamp if no sun.

Room temp 16-18C, Room moisture 55%, blacked out curtains.

Extra blanket for feet/socks. Hands under blanket.

Shower 1hr-1.5hr before sleep at 38-40C

Last food 1.5hrs b4 sleep (2hr+ if on reta) and it is without fat, with a lil protein and COMPLEX carbs.

No intense exercise at least 4 hours before sleep (gym night sessions are a no go).

8hr+ sleep

Shame it started so early for both of us. Hope you don't get stuck with this issue for life like it is likely gonna be for me. I have weak nasal walls and a deviated septum though that likely cause sleep apnea even with the breathe right strips I need to use everyday for sleep, so maybe once I get nose surgery I'll sleep better. Had to nose issues for way too long and finally have an appointment with a nasal surgeon to talk about doing surgery. The medical system is ridiculously slow though and frustrating

this is only an issue if you have a becky sleeping on top of you in your bed everynight, which none of us do, so... You're in luck!!! just piss all over yourself without thinking about it and turn your bed into a stinky wet moldy pisspot and just shower every morning to rid the piss and continue this cycle, never washing your piss sheets till death. jfl

Yeah idk when I'm getting it. Could be months or could be years, and depends on how timely of a fashion these doctors appointments get done in and all the scheduling. Also have to plan the surgery for a time when it would be least problematic for me too. Right now would be the perfect time actually because I'm a neet since I quit my last job a while ago but I'll have to get another one soon. I have an appointment with the surgeon in June so if they would be able to get on with it soon after I'll have the surgery before getting another job since getting that while having a job would be a bitch. Already had a hip surgery that took 6 months to recover from and wasn't a full success so this nose surgery should be a walk in the park compared to that and have a higher success rate

damn that sounds rough 6 months recovery for a surgery that wasn’t even fully successful is brutal honestly i hope this one ends up being much easier and actually fixes the issue properly

Thanks. The last one was for hip impingement and a labral tear, but I also have acetabular retroversion which makes these surgeries more likely to not be successful and also predisposes you to these issues in the first place. The nasal surgery should be a lot more straightforward and only be a week of recovery
