How to style hair like this?

I’m trying to get my hair to look like this texture wise but not sure what type of product to use. My hair is really dry and hair gel makes it brittle and more dry looking. I tried hair product also and it seemed to give a decent look especially when I apply it to wet hair. What product should I use to get hair texture like this? Are there any specific brands/products that are high quality?

Yeah for me the hair gel seems to dry out and it doesn’t look wet for long. Maybe I need to apply to wet hair or use a different product
