1.) Physical attractiveness is universal. Most people agree on which faces and bodies are attractive.
2.) Physical attractiveness is the most predictive variable for determining social, romantic, and sexual success.
3.) Physical attractiveness is mostly determined by genetic factors. What isn't determined by genetic factors is determined at a young age, during which the individual has very little control over his development.
4.) The above applies to women to a lesser degree because of the high cost of pregnancy and comparatively low cost of sperm, creating an imbalance in the sexual desire between men and women.

In other words:
