just buy a $2000 pro camera and buy a tripod.
it gives your face much more depth and you won't look like lens distorded potatoe face like on phone cameras.

photograph quality is much better .

You have your mates or other people spam take pictures of you while preferably doing a fun activity or when you look fresh. this way theres usually a good picture in the batch. make sure its your good angle and do some light post editing to get optimal result
