How to tan without cooking my skin?

I NEED a tan but I also dont wanna look 50 when im 30, to make it worse I live in England where its always raining so natural sun isn't an option, what do y'all think about tanning 1 day a week on the sunbeds lets say 12 minutes, and using mt2, so im always tanned but shouldn't have too much sun damage

You will get damage still but the way to minimize it while getting a natural tan is using mt2 and dont tan super aggressively
