From that analogy:
Either A) Daily Mail writers are mining this forum.
B) I work for Daily Mail which I don't and my creepy ICU piggybackers know that.
C) Daily Mail is making up stories using forums as their muse, thus Fake News Agency.
D) People still haven't accepted the human race is inside a collective. All of our minds are connected but firewalled from accessing one another. However, a few, thus Mind Creeps, hacks that hive for whatever reason they have.
Or E) Considering it takes time to create a story, knowing even Fake News needs to cross their T's, and dot their I's before publishing the content, not to mention getting approval by the boss or editor, this is SOMETHING ELSE.
