Why? Because the deep sense of discomfort that others are in pleasure is a human urge shared by everyone.
The fact that you don't know where this urge comes from means it must be coming from the collective unconscious because the urge wouldn't make sense as a response to trauma in terms of a response, it would only make sense if the trauma fueled what was already in the collective unconscious.
Humans are currently doing everything conceivable to make sure that the explosion of this urge once it's finally not repressed anymore at the time the singularity hits is as strong as possible.
Even if humans could force AI to create heaven on earth for them, the humans would then change their ways and ultimately embrace annihilation.
DH is inevitable.
