How will a palatal expander affect me?

I'm wondering specifically how it will affect my bizygomatic width, if at all. I also want to know if there's a noticeable difference between an expander or MARPE. I know MARPE is for after your growth plates have fully closed, but mine are still open so I want to know if they would still yield similar results. Any info appreciated

both will work but your bizygomatic width will not change or have minimal skeletal change i think max around <2mm of bones and this is if you are still growing
