the key is to remember digits in groups, recognizing groups that represent famous years and using other memory techniques. hard to get past 15 relying on raw memory

yeah I did that with 1941 (America joins ww2), 2027 (when Deus Ex HR takes place), 1868 (foundation of Italy), 88 (nazi number) etc. And looking at patterns. Another thing I did was only memorize the first few digits (store them in my long-term memory), and then look at the non-memorized ones and type them as quickly as possible (short-term memory). Could maybe go up to 14, above that you probably need to have super high IQ.

no idea. i maxed out the wais iv test (all sub-sections), was offered to skip 2 grades as a kid, been in top 5 in the country on math competitions for years and wrote a dozen papers before even graduating from law school, so ... currently i'm making a mockery of the judges at the supreme court of my country

i do have serious issues with orientation in space, tho
