u agree lookz makes it easier for u to get girls, get friends, have ur opinion more accepted, and in general make u more popular?
lookz will make it super easy, yeah?

so say u post on instagram and tell people to "go like this post"
it is extremely likely that 90% of people would actually do it. only because they see u "likeable" because of ur lookz.

if u can get them to do this, imagine what else u can get them to do.
that's why all the US Presidents ever elected - the best looking candidate at the time of election wins (not a study or a fact, just something PSL autists have observed)

It's a concept used by companies that shows how many people they have employed and how valuable and skilled they are.
Something similar for every person is how big their social circle is and the value of the people in it - the more people you know, the more friends you have and the higher status they are, the more you benefit.
