This is what happens when a species becomes domesticated. Agriculture and civilization had an infantilizing effect on human appearance and behavior. I used to know of a site that had huge human skills with jaws that had like a 9 inch mandible, and they were human shaped skulls. Cant find the site now but yes you are still right that humans heads have gotten smaller and weaker.

It's well known that only Asians carry denisovan DNA. Description of genetic predictors of denisovan appearance:
