I used to cut worms in half to watch their parts move and launch frogs into walls for no reason.
I had genuine fun doing so, also I liked to torture ants and snails as 4-5yo kid

as kids this is normal as hell though, some childs do this out of genuine curiosity/boredom and not actively thinking this out as being evil
