Neither, morality is only a means of organizing your peoples/tribe to form a coherrent society, humans would only be inherently evil or inherently good if you view morality in a religious sense, in antiquity killing and commiting mass murder of enemy tribes, sacking their cities for wealth to benefit your nation only while only applying your morality to your in group was the norm

Why would he be evil for following their instincts? these things are normal and are only evil in a religious context, the norm for man has always been to only apply a sense of morality on their nation/tribe until christianity which even then only dampened this behaviour

"Evil" = consciousness operating from separation, fear, ignorance, and ego, which generates suffering.
"Good" = consciousness acting from alignment, based on truth, love, and unity.

And it's always a choice. Every action moves us toward greater harmony or greater separation, and the consequences of those choices become the lessons to integrate.
