I have a decently sized friend group of people ik from HS, and something I noticed is that everyone in that group is dating someone of their own race, my white friends are dating white women, my black friends are dating black women, even my friend who’s native ending up dating another native woman, I was watching UFC with them (bread and circuses dnr) and my Asian friend asked me if it’s weird he’ll subconsciously root for other Asian fighters even if he doesn’t like their personalities or fight styles, I was gonna say it’s kinda weird then on recollection I realized I kinda do the same w Euro fighters especially other Meds.

That’s fair, if it was a fighter I really liked like Carlos Prates and he was fighting someone like Vettori I’d probably still root for Prates, but there’s still a part of me that would want to see him win, it’s weird because I’m American and sometimes I’ll still root for an European fighter over an ethnic American.
