Why would girl be the prize and boys nearly always the one who needs to make the first step or even just making effort in a relationship. Men are genetically stronger and they made a lot more changes in the world history compared to women but they are still the victim of hypergamy.

I tought it was because of the men libido which was higher than women creating an unbalance but after making research i found out that it was not the case at all and that no study show that the men libido is higher than the woman one.

I think hypergamy is king of new to the actual society we live in. When we look in the past, men we’re a lot more respected by women, they had superiority and they had power over the women which is not the case anymore. Everything became worse through the years.

So my theory is hypergamy was a movement created by 1-the laws giving men less power to « control » the women and 2-the social network
