Hyperpigmentation from acne (Gross warning)

I used to get a lot of acne. It has definetely slowed down but now im left with discoloration of my skin on my cheeks. No bumps or indents, just redness. I am using differin which contains adapalyene, is there anything else I should use or do to get rid of them.

i used to have the same kind of red marks around my temples from acne but they are fading now as i am on accutane, im about one month in and they are already getting paler
