in pediatric studies anadrol was used in both genders and produced stronger "short term" results, while anavar was used exclusively with girls because turners syndrome responds exclusively to oxandrolone. technically you could use it for males too and it would make sense long term but these studies were conducted with year long cycles and because they covered turners i dont believe they really covered dosage specific to males.
studies with anadrol in teens would range anywhere from 6 months to 2 years total, so its not like you just hit a giant growth spike and then the rest is "mediocre" compared to anavar. think, strong androgen providing strong results while still sustaining growth paired with hgh, compared to a weaker androgen with no relative dose for males paired with hgh.
