Most people suffer from hypothyroidism. PUFA and xenoestrogens/ BPA restrict thyroid function. Cultures used to eat the thyroid gland of the animal but from 1950s the thyroid gland of the animal is cut off and only muscle meat is used as culinary. This means that we have the double whammy of bad thyroid function along with no external source of thyroid to offset it. Is there any surprise obesity has skyrocketed since 1950?
Hypothyroidism was diagnosed when TSH levels were above 1.0 . In the 1960s 40 percent of the population was classified as hypo but in 1990 it was only 5 percent. How? The standards for being classified as hypo was slowly lowered to the point that you were diagnosed only if you had TSH higher than 4.0 which is a huge shift from being classified as hypo if your levels were above 1.0 ( notice how testosterone levels experienced the same jump for being classified as hypogonadal) .
So now that you know that you have a huge chance of being hypo, you may ask how to fix it or diagnose it yourself (TSH is not the best measurement of hypo btw your TSH could be low and you still may be functionally hypo).
Find out in the next episode of DBZ (or just tag me and ask more questions).

no you need TSH to be lower than one and as low as possible and like I said TSH is not an accurate measure. Get your CO2 levels checked and achilles tendon reflex testView attachment 1936603
I went through some bloodtests and apparently had it measured once almost 6 years ago and had a value of 2,21 mU/l
they consider everything between 0.27 and 4.2 mU/l to be 'normal' in the netherlands and dont require any action.
I should have it tested again, anything else I should look for? Would 2.21 be okay?

also @spiderman2 heres the thread
iodine i think helps thyroidill get TSH tested again and add T4-testing. It seems to be important for detecting it aswell. Is CO2 a cheap bloodtest worth doing?
Tbh my value of 2.2 is far too high you are right, im reading about it. I need to get thyroid medication?
Total t4 and t3 and reverse t3 along with prolactin is important blood test so check for those. CO2 production is a good way to measure your metabolic efficiency. Dont get zogged and accept t4 medication (levothyroxine) it only makes things worse for many people. You need t3 (triiodothyronine) and t4 in a ratio of 1:3 . Thyroid recovers after exogenous supplementation unlike testosterone so you dont need to be on it for life.ill get TSH tested again and add T4-testing. wrong. Iodine only helps blood test values to be more acceptable it has no bearings on thyroid functioning as a whole unlike selenium which helps convert t4 to t3.iodine i think helps thyroid
also diet
lots of fish n stuff. sardines and shiit inniit
elaborateYou need t3 (triiodothyronine) and t4 in a ratio of 1:3 .

animal serum levels of thyroid always contained a ratio of 1:4 t3 to t4 however some people find a ratio of 1:3 to be more beneficial. The brain selectively retains t3 thyroid hormone to produce steroids and thus t4 monotherapy is often ineffective and may make matters worse by promoting an i mbalance in serum thyroid conc. since t4 has a much longer half life and can get converted into reverse t3 which has unfavaourable anti metabolic effects.elaborate

So what would you advice the average male?Total t4 and t3 and reverse t3 along with prolactin is important blood test so check for those. i bought selenium , iodine ,and copper supplementst3 to t4.

Most people will benefit from a course of thyroid supplementation since most people are hypothyroid. TSH above 1 is hypo but your TSH can be below 1 and still be hypo.So what would you advice the average male?
Check T4/T3 levels. If its above 1, get T3 medication (triiodothyronine) for a while (how long, how much?) and then have blood tested again. If the values are right, stop medication. Now you are healthier for how long? Something like that?
how much should someone takeMost people will benefit from a course of thyroid supplementation since most people are hypothyroid. TSH above 1 is hypo but your TSH can be below 1 and still be hypo.
A good course of thyroid may last around 6 months . T3 25 mcg (dosed in 5 splits ) and t4 50 mcg ( dosed in two splits) is a traditional way of dosing which has helped many of Broda Barnes' clients. Tapering off slowly thyroid supplementation can be stopped if desired.

selenium and copper may help but iodine does nothing except interfere with thyroid blood test values. Eating more fructose prolly does more to help thyroid function than supplements (except for thyroid supplements)i bought selenium , iodine ,and copper supplements
what do you think of my stack.selenium and copper may help but iodine does nothing except interfere with thyroid blood test values. Eating more fructose prolly does more to help thyroid function than supplements (except for thyroid supplements)

k2 mk4 is better than mk7what do you think of my stack.
B-Complex
K2
Selenium (just bought it)
Iodine (just bought it)
Copper (just bought it)
Magnesium (just bought More)
should i add Zinc and D3 ?
i have MK4k2 mk4 is better than mk7
yes vitamin d3 is probably more imp than any of those since it restricts PTH and can function like thyroid hormone sometimes.

magnesium is also imp for hypo since the cell is unable to retain it without adequate thyroid hormone. While magnesium half life is 48 hours for hypo it can be excreted in the urine every 3-4 hours.i have MK4
sadly its hard to get these things from food since all of the food is just filled with agrochems and the soil is so depletedmagnesium is also imp for hypo since the cell is unable to retain it without adequate thyroid hormone. While magnesium half life is 48 hours for hypo it can be excreted in the urine every 3-4 hours.

also do you take these pre/post food ?magnesium is also imp for hypo since the cell is unable to retain it without adequate thyroid hormone. While magnesium half life is 48 hours for hypo it can be excreted in the urine every 3-4 hours.

Magnesium before sleep everything else prolly morningalso do you take these pre/post food ?
on an empty stomach ?Magnesium before sleep everything else prolly morning
Be sure to get magnesium glycinate. I recommend you eat a sugary dessert rigjt before bed and take some extra salt at dinner.on an empty stomach ?
