He keeps calling me his "Nordic queen" and says things like "Your blonde hair is so pure and golden, it’s like sunlight on snow." Or "Your blue eyes are like the ocean. I could get lost in them forever." Last night while we were making out he whispered that my "delicate pale skin" makes him feel like he's "finally touching European royalty and that he won in life."

It felt flattering at first but now it's making me cringe. I feel like he’s not dating me, but some fantasy version of a blonde Viking goddess. Like I'm his personal Nordic trophy or something. He even joked (I think it was a joke?) about how dating me is "upgrading his bloodline."

Is this fetishization? My friends are split. Some say "just enjoy the attention, girl," but others agree it sounds objectifying. I really like him otherwise, but this is starting to make me feel dehumanized.
