People at my school always say that I look cute. Is that actually a compliment, or are they subtly making fun of me? Or am I just overthinking it?

yes i do sometime There’s a girl at my school who is really nice to me and might be showing some kind of romantic interest in me. She often holds my hand and asks me questions. The girl who always says that I’m cute also seems to want to sit with me whenever my deskmate moves somewhere else. She jokes around with me a lot, and I usually laugh. Even when we arm-wrestled, I held her hand, and she didn’t seem uncomfortable or embarrassed at all.Easy yes or no question

I’m a shy and quiet person, so I can’t tell if they genuinely like me or if I’m just interpreting things the wrong way. Could they be giving me false hope because they know I’m someone who can easily be taken advantage of?
