I'm in my 4th year of uni and I have not socialized at all in the last 3 years because I didn't feel like it and I have 0 friends. I feel like I have developed schizophrenia and I can't even imagine what it would be like to talk to someone since it's been so long. I don't even know if I want to to socialize because I really detest the general population and everything around me but at the same time I want to fuck

I've had a few friends before but that was only ever because other people in school initiated it and actively persued it. I've never had the natural inclination to talk to other people and socialize. Also all of my friends have been autistic (I went to a retard school even though I have high functioning aspergers)

It’ll be hard, you left it too late (water)

Everyone will already be in close friend groups and it’ll be very hard to ween your way into them. The very start of uni when nobody knew each other would have been your best bet. There’s still a chance you can make some good friends though, it’ll just be a lot harder, 101% worth trying

Just do anything man, humans are social creatures and isolation is a very steep slippery slope to depression.

I am currently trying to grow my social life too (granted, I wasn’t in as bad a situation as you when i started), and it is definitely difficult but it has a huge ROI
