After buying the Omega speed master, a Cartier Santos. I'm done purchasing expensive heritage watches from Swiss brands. The cost to satisfaction ratio is not there for me to justify brutalizing my wallet every time. I still love those watches and wear them regularly. You buy these kind of watches to mark major life events. Like I got my speedy when I graduated out of high school. Santos at the end of my uni and wore it for my farewell. I wanted my farewell watch to be a Rolex land dweller but I got kicked out of the dealership for not having a purchase history made a thread about it. Still in the waiting list btw

Just the other day I walked into a Rolex AD just to check out the new Land Dweller. I was dressed modestly had on a polo, chinos, and a cap. Nothing flashy. The store looked like the headquarters of the Federal Reserve or something. 3 bodyguards. Bulletproof glass, huge steel reinforced doors...
