I am glad I quit (most) caffeine. Feel great.

I've been consuming very large amounts of coffee with occasional energy-drinks mixed in, for years. I have tried to quantify my caffeine-usage and I think I average about ~1000mg per day. Maybe slightly more than that.

Since the new year. I have cutback hard on my caffeine consumption. Down to ~300mg per day. (just 2 morning coffees and some tea in the evening).

I would've thought it would have terrible effects on my energy-levels, becoming less focussed, not being able to work the night-shifts that I do.
But nope. I feel more energetic, focussed and less... sick? Somehow I didn't notice it during all these years.

My plan is to cut the morning coffees I am still drinking out aswell. I am not anti-coffee, but I feel like it's not healthy to have it as a daily habit and rely on it like that.

I would argue cutting out caffeine entirely because then when you actually need it to help stay up, it does its job.

Exactly. I also like the taste/smell. So an occasional coffee as a leisure activity is acceptable I think.

But my routine when I wake up, is to turn on the coffee-machine as a first thing lol. I need to get rid of this habit and have days in my life I don't drink coffee at all.

I tryed it in Milan once, the worst coffe I've ever tasted in my life, but maybe because I am used to different type of coffes.

I prefer the taste of espresso personally, but brewed coffee has this mellow vibe to it. Tea-vibes.
