I have applied and been accepted into a low-end fruit picking & packing job in the South of England..

They provide accommodation for a small fee and I'm going to be surrounded by seasonal workers from Romania, Poland, and other eastern European countries.

Why did I do this?

I want the exercise (leanmaxxing)
I'm desperate to get away from my town for a few months
Save some money for travels to Japan in winter
Maybe meet a hot girl who also works there
Do some "game" approaching in the nearby towns.. and not ruining my reputation back home and being known as a "creep"

Excellent post. You're making a very good decision. This is what life's about. You can also apply for a working holiday visa and go do that in Australia if you're under 30 years old.

Best way to grow as a person is to travel and get out of your comfort zone.

Yes, but you gotta go through many experiences that you would never go through again if you ever want to become a proper man. I did pipleline construction, sales, a stint in the military, and even worked as a club promoter for a little bit. All of those jobs I would never do again, but I wouldn't trade the experiences for anything.
