I need to trim the bulk at the back of my hair with a hairclipper.


Should I use the longest guard with swiping/flicking motion up to the occipital prominent?

yes it's not that hard, I did it for years.

you want actual hair scissors for the top and front though.

My front and top is fine, it got scissor cut by professional stylist

you need two mirrors but one can be small, you can feel when you need to lift the clippers up though.

I use a small mirror so I can see the back. It's almost possible to do it without it once you know more or less how it works but you still no matter what need to check if everything's fine there in the back
