As someone who was really into this stuff as a young teen, cybersecurity is cope, from a careers perspective. i always felt bad walking past Cybersec students knowing they'd be tending bars out of uni
companies will only hire people for cyber security if they already have experience, which is why 95% of people in cybersecurity positions have like 5 years of system administration experience before hand. companies would rather pay an experienced person 120,000 a year than pay some teen/young 20s adult who just got out of uni to even touch their systems for 45k a year
never buy a course
never buy certifications, stuff like the comptia is only for people who already HAVE experience to prove they also have experience for something else, using it as a standalone certification is retarded
do not trust youtubers/employers if they tell you otherwise.
only learn cyber security as a hobby/if you need to for your company if you have one/if you're planning to do cybercrime
