I wonder how techno is in the USA compared to the netherlands/germany/europe.

I think one aspect you would like is that drug-use is accepted and normalized here. But it's not some perfect reality.
Yes we do drugs at every event and this is legalized. But there's limits to what is enjoyable and whas is not.
Nobody gets addicted to MDMA despite us having 2-dollar pills of the highest pure quality. Because there is a limit in how much you can use and how good you will feel. These are not drugs like alcohol or cocaine where you can never get enough.

I am a veteran in club-drug use in this sense. mdma, cocaine, stims. Ketamine is used a lot here, but it is less common.

but here we have a thing called 'chem-sex'. It's having sex on stimulants. generally drugs like GHB, mephedrone, metaphedrone.
I am unfamiliar with this, it's the next level.

I would say techno-culture is completely intertwined with drug-use though. It's not that you need drugs to enjoy techno, or that it's expected of you, it's just that everyone is experimenting. I would say at an average club, with tech(house) music playing, 75% is on drugs (other than alcohol). It's normal to be on stimulants here.

Techno-clublife isnt normalized in its own though. Think: 80% of people are going to normal clubs, where cocaine is still extremely common etc. But techno is still niche, is what im saying.
Very few young people are into techno (maybe 20% at best) most people just do normal clubbing.

I was extremely lucky, but I got into sisyphos (major berlin nightclub, one of the best) 3 days in a row. I was there for a holiday.

These clubs are too popular and they want to be cheap and not be overcrowded. So there is insane demand, low cost, yet they have to reject everyone, because there is too many people who want to get in.

There's ways to get in regardless, even as tourists, I only learned this from talking to locals, but I won't share this. I think people should figure this out for themselves.
