I am opening a youth acc and investing 1k, any tips on what to invest in

I have 2k but will be using the other 1k for roids and other stuff within the next couple months

So I was thinking like 500 in something safe like s and p 500 and 500 in something risky? I don’t know what are solid investments rn

dont do anything risky rn, the markets are kinda cooked. i would do a few hrs of research into finding a few good companies. (prepare to only make 8-12% anually)

Yeah I figured this with the current state of the world, I will take ur advice on doing some research as investment seems more like a DYOR typa thing since most ppl will gatekeep

i dont think its a problem about gatekeeping since the more people buying a company the better, i think its a problem of people not actually knowing what to do.
