I am planning on getting LJS

In Sweden you can get a free LJS if its needed. I personally have a small overbite but is eligible for a surgery. However, its required to wear braces 1-2 years before the surgery to "optimize" the result. I was wondering, what are your thoughts? Should i go through with it or will braces ruin my maxilla.

Btw. A foid in my class have an overbite, she recently got braces and is getting surgery next year.

If the braces are for decompensation, it is often a good idea. The question would be how is your occlusion right now?
