I am so happy. I am officially a Kubestronaut

[Jason Voorhees]

I just cleared the last of the five Kubernetes exams so I am finally a Kubestronaut. I cleared the easier Kubernetes exams and the CKA a few years ago then left the harder two just sitting there because I didn't see any value in sitting for them but for the sake of competition. I just finished CKAD and CKS.

So all five are done and I am a officially a Kubestronaut. I am so happy. I am waiting for their confirmation email and the merchandise to arrive at my place soon. I will post a picture once I receive them.

Basically a bunch of certified exams you have to pass to get a title. About 3500 people globally have that badge but it's not because the exams are hard. Only CKA and CKS are hard the rest are medium to easy multiple choice but the main thing is most people lack the determination and perseverance to clear all 5 which is why there are so few. Even after this title. It won't change much for me but it's a nice to have and something you can brag about

Get the cka if you do. That's the only one that recruiters look for tbh. But it's only useful if you enjoy living in the terminal and like Devops. If you want to just be in devolpment it's pretty useless

Kubernetes it really is indeed a high level shit as it sounds in cloud computing

It's just autism tbh. For most use cases nomad+consul or docker swarm is enough but for muh scaling, muh industry standards, muh customized usecases people use kubernetes. All this expires in 2-3 years btw when I lose my kubestonaut when I have to renew it
