I got it from family tree dna i only have my iphone Lenovos been broken for awhile I cant seem to attach the download they have since its not supported

I have Dravidian dna according to ancestry.com instead of family tree dna which I posted I have 8% South Indian my dad was born in South India Hyderabad

I think my mom is like U like the ones in Eastern Europe she may be the person I inherited the Balkan from

Your Y-DNA haplogroup is Iranic. Only Afghans and Pakistanis have it. U has different subclades, so it depends on which subclade of U she has.

I’ve never gotten my mtdna checked properly it was just an estimation a site told me from my snps etc but my y dna is G-M283

Then you may have a U subclade after all but it won't be the subclade that you got from that website, since it doesn't have enough SNPs to go off of. You can LARP as Afghan since you are paternally Afghan. :ogre:

Wait looked it up my mom could be Rohilla some of them are from Uttar Pradesh before the split!

Yes, sounds like she is, but also since you have an Afghan Y-DNA, it seems like your father was also one, otherwise it's impossible for you to have that Y-DNA since it's Afghan. But this is the first time I have seen or heard about a Hyderabadi with that haplogroup.

Yeah his family just migrated south to Hyderabad actually look up Kaimganj his family migrated there I guess n then Hyderabad later
