turmeric contains curcumin. curcumin is not good for the human body

its found in a lot of spices as well
In addition to curcumin, turmeric contains two other curcuminoids: demethoxycurcumin and bisdemethoxycurcumin. These curcuminoids contribute to the yellow coloration of turmeric, although curcumin is the most abundant and has the strongest color.

curcuminoids, including curcumin, are not water-soluble, which means they r impossible for the body to absorb. To enhance absorption, turmeric is often consumed with a source of fat or in combination with black pepper, which contains a compound called piperine that can enhance curcumin absorption. which just makes it worse, cause black pepper is literally 1000x worse

The strong smell of turmeric is primarily attributed to its essential oils. Turmeric contains volatile aromatic compounds that contribute to its distinct odor. The primary volatile compounds responsible for the smell of turmeric include turmerone, curlone, and zingiberene.

and remember, anything aromatic != never good for u

Wait why is black pepper bad?
because of piperine
it is an alkaloid
alkaloids have toxic effects on the nervous system, cardiovascular system, and other organs.

And if curcumin isn’t really absorbed well then what’s the harm?
it clogs up ur system and prevents absorption of OTHER nutrients into ur cells.
not just curcumin, but pretty much most toxins found in plants, oxalates, phytates, nitrates, isoflavones, lignans, etc.

highly estrogenic
consuming aromatic compounds? u might as well chug some benzene

does this shit apply to all spices? like do every spice has some negative effect on your health?

it doesn't matter if they consume curry, they still stink like curry. that's just their natural body odor. they probably evolved to love eating curry because they started bathing in their own urine and filling the streets up with their fecal matter that the smelly became attractive to them
