my NYC.shrink told me I should think about writing a book about how I feel and.how I perceive people and how I think they perceive me.
I had a fight with my boss this morning so have decided to go on strike the rest of the day, and am going write my book.
here's how it starts:
the year was 198x, Suez had been and gone, oil cost more than water, and the Iron Lady had put the Argentinian Navy to the sword - things were starting to look up. or so we thought.
in a quiet corner of northern England a semi-renowned Cardiologist was about to become a grandfather for the first time.
unbeknownst to him though, not all was well in the universe, for the child about to come into being was not going to be the next Van Gogh, Chopin, or Dalglish. in fact he wasnt going to be even a normal functioning 25yr old, the kind regularly frequenting the bars of great centers of humanity like London or NYC.
no the universe had aligned differently on this day. no one knows why, maybe it was a planetary alignment, maybe a solar flare, but whatever it was, the outcome was assured. the child was born, an autistic, dark tanned, endomorphic, fused growth plated, pathetic 6" BPL, autistic, anomaly. had he been born in ancient sparta, the baby would have been left for dead, but this was no sparta, this was civilised society at its zenith, enjoying the longest period of regional peace in history, and times were good, but not for all...
