Recently I've been thinking about how difficult life must be for the average person. Not in a rude way, just statistically. For example, whenever I enter a room, the average attractiveness of the room increases immediately. That's not an opinion, that's just how averages work. The problem is that when I leave, the average drops again, which means I've accidentally created emotional ups and downs for hundreds of people throughout my life. It also explains why some places feel less exciting after I leave them. At first I thought it was a coincidence, but the pattern has been consistent for years. I don't really know what the solution is. Maybe I should spend more time in public so averages stay stable. Has anyone else had to deal with this responsibility or is it just me?
