So I’m at my orthodontist getting my routine cleaning done, and he’s telling me I’ve got a bit of gum overgrowth on my back molars.

I asked him if that would impact my smile in photos, he said my gums could make my teeth look smaller overtime. I casually asked him with, “I see, so if that happens would that mean I get a LeFort I?” I wouldn’t want my smile to become gummy from this overtime and advancing the maxilla would prevent that” He kinda just froze there for a second, I don’t think he’s ever heard someone say that. He just said “No, you have gums growing in, and it isn’t caused by a skeletal issue”. He kinda looked at me oddly like I just said something out of this world, but it was normal after that.

Also, during the Xray of my teeth I saw that I had flared gonions :feelsgah:
