Ive been worried about this for years now. Im 23.

This is my forehead cropped to my eyebrows

IMG 20211006 000651

Ive had a widows peak my whole life. And my hairline hasnt noticeably receded. My dad has god tier forehead and my moms side has some balding individuals.

What should i do if i start to notice receding? Ive heard of people using topical monidoxil? Is that effective?

Im just paranoid AF about losing my hair as it halos me.

You have thick as fuck hair still so your hair is still good

If this site was still good someone knowledgeable would chime in about what to do for hairline recession and determining recession vs widows peak. im not that guy though so i cant help you there and everybody who I would tag has left the forum
Fuck. Ok thanks bro i was lamenting my hair and saying my goodbyes and praying that the norwood reaper would at least spare me my 20s. Hopefully i dont have to administer anything for a while.

hard to see with just these pics as your hair is somewhat covering where mpb affects first, and would get a clearer picturer with the hair pulled back with a headband or sthn
imo from these pics looks to be at least minor recession which isnt bad at all for a white guy in their late 20s, and it may even be stabilised for now
at the end of the day youll end up being the best judge of it, checking it your hair even felt thinner at your temple regions, or noticing any miniturised hairs at the temple region

If you start balding, finasteride is the way to go

Avoid chemicals at all cost.
Sleep/Exercise/eat well/distilled water and get some nice organic supplements (MSM, ginger, borage, evening primrose etc.)

LMFAO at those deep forehead wrinkles at 23. My dad doesn't have them at 52 yo

No expert myself but I would think straightening your hair out pushing it upward and taking a picture of the top of your head would let you know what the real deal is. Quite a few people would find out its thinning if they did that. The crown area will usually let you know if the reaper is coming or if its just a natural peak in the front.

Its fucking over

I wonder if rolling would at least stabilize those wrinkles at your age. It seems to for older people but collagen levels are pretty high still at 23.

Ive had widows peak and NW2 all my life and tought i was safe. Id always say to myself "nah its just shit and mature hairline, theres no way id start norwooding, i have no bald people in family", until my late 20s when i noticed (after not checking for months) that my hairline receded more and is NW 2.5. I also noticed a lot of small miniaturized hairs falling in the sink, thats when i knew im fucked, its fucking over. Got minox and started soaking my scalp in it :feelswhy:

As i said in post, my hairline has been like that since i can remember. Ive just been more worried about it lately because i learned about how baldness is inherited from mothers side etc.

Does that look like NW 1 or widows peak to you?

Rolling? My dad has insane forehead wrinkles and has since his 20s but i always thought it made him look "mature" but not a bad way. I think its genetic. If it will help make me look better ill do it but what exactly is rolling?

Dermarolling in older people seems to halt wrinkle progression a lot but I am not sure if it would help much at 23 if its due to increasing the collagen in that area. Maybe some people here have tried it for that and would know.

those wrinkles could be expression lines from raising your frontalis muscles and folding the soft tissue too much

No it's NOT. I raise my forehead muscles a lot too and it's not supposed to be THAT fucking wide and deep

This is me raising my frontalis muscles maximally

Hop on retin A and sunscreen ASAP. what's your diet and sun exposure like? What's the rest of your face like? Is it also wrinkled?

What's your sunscreen? If it has low UVA protection you might as well not wear anything

I just want regrowth.
-switched from finasteride to dutasteride
-switched from topical min to oral min
-RU is getting here later today.

if it hasnt changed and youve never seen any miniturised hairs or any signs of thinning at all you should be fine, just a widows peak, just make sure to check every now and again to see in case youve gotten yr balding genes from yr mothers side, and if you do get on fina, all that herbal stuff isnt gonna do shit lol

probably yr best bet at getting regrowth
Now ive only ever seen anecdotal evidence of this but there is a chance dut MIGHT be a bit worse or basically do nothing for your hairline, but strengthen everything else behind it
OM will be your best bet of regrowth ofc, Id recommend using tret with it on skin just in case, Ive seen clashing sources on OM affecting collagen synthesis and Id be better safe than sorry, but at the end of the day you'll get the best results from this from what Ive seen and hair >> everything else
RU obviously just make sure to be careful with dosages and sides etc etc
