I checked my hairline today when i got out the shower and I have no baldness (NW1).

My hairline has always been ever so slightly higher on one side but I have been tracking it for 2 years now and it hasnt moved back a single millimeter. Back when i was mentally unwell I would legit tracked singular hair follicles.

Wtf am i supposed to do with this finasteride? should i start taking it?

I am 21 after all.

Ur 21 there's no harm in taking it, by the time u notice hairloss it means uve already lost alot

only concern is Finasteride will consistently work for 10 years. After those 10 years the medication may no longer work and they will have to opt for something stronger.

Yeah but thats just because hairloss gets more aggressive over time, not because finasteride itself inherently loses its effectiveness

One of my temples has sparser hair where it parts, but it's the same in pics when I was a kid

I have a similar situation as I have blond baby hairs on my temples. However, after 2 years of schizoing about it they look the exact same.

maybe i'll just save it for a bit and wait idk. Or I can do the Rob Lowe method and take it for the sake of taking it

Rob Lowe does it for prevention.
It’s not “taking it for the sake of taking it”
Ironically, it’s better to take the drug before you notice any balding.

You can still get good beard growth with minoxidil if that’s an issue.

Yes I edited my response.
Most still get beard growth even with DHT inhibition though - finasteride only suppresses 30% of scalp DHT.
Can top up with minoxidil if it’s a problem.
