It's astounding how not a single country has updated it to reflect the "values" that majority of people believe in :feelswhat:

If I could reform it tomorrow, I would :geek:

Only 3 types of divvy would exist.
1. Fault
2. No Fault (one sided)
3. No fault (mutual)

1. Fault - the party that files proves "fault" and the "guilty" party is then held responsible for any costs and damages. No penalty.
Fault = classic shit like abuse, abandonment, adultery etc

2. No fault (one sided) - the party that files is responsible for costs and damages but is in return granted a swift divorce and their rights are protected. No penalty.

3. No fault (mutual) - both parties agreed to the terms mutually  everyone goes in peace

Kiddo care and control are carved up 50-50 as a rule of thumb and judges are only allowed to alter it to 60-40 with good reason

Cost and damages would include things like lawyer fees and capital gains tax if things have to be sold.
The "victim" cannot lose money in any way.

Someone should start a movement to codify this frfr

Or how about just hanging any bitch that tries leaving her husband for any reason?

Not realistic man.

I'm thinking of an objectively fair solution that protects everyone's right to leave and their right to hold the other party accountable.

I would also like the lawyers to be removed and the judges powers curbed. Or at least a clear picture of who should be held "at fault".

Or just ban women from the workforce and ban alimony to dis-incentive divorce

The women and workforce thing is a separate issue.

What I really dislike about the system is the power that judges have to fuck the wrong party up.

ban alimony to dis-incentive divorce

Zero alimony should be the default unless the following is proven :
1. The person asking for alimony can prove "fault"
2. The person asking for alimony isn't working / earning
3. Alimony is capped at a certain amount and expires after a few years.

Alimony should only be paid to help the "victim" get back on their feet till they find a job to support themselves and stuff.
It should not be punitive and it definitely should not be to sustain a lavish lifestyle they previously enjoyed.
If they were "at fault" for the divorce, they should receive zero.

A woman's got absolutely no business leaving her husband for any reason.
