ADHD, how old are you? This usually occurs in people with ADHD around late teens to early 20's and its brutal. I have barely finished a movie, tv series or video game since i turned 20i can't enjoy things anymore either. can't finish a movie, only watch 20mins and close it. jfl so over for me
don't scare him for no reason, smartphone-induced "adhd" is enough to make it hard for people to finish movies, vidya etc. I never had adhd but I know my attention span has been drastically shortened as a result of quick scroll social media and other stuff over the years, last movie I watched or game I finished was years ago. There's a reason shows are more popular than movies with zoomers and movies are declining as a medium.ADHD, how old are you? Yeah i only play video games or watch other media when on my adhd meds, during tolerance breaks i have to be outside doing something physical and talk with people because other stuff doesnt do it for me, not even pornshet, i need to adderalmax to enjoy vidya again.

i just watched miller's girl with some mild schizo symptoms, it is doable mein tiggydon't scare him for no reason, smartphone-induced "adhd" is enough to make it hard for people to finish movies, vidya etc. I never had adhd but I know my attention span has been drastically shortened as a result of quick scroll social media and other stuff over the years, last movie I watched or game I finished was years ago. early twennies. man i probably have adhd but i think it's social media induced. also feels like everyone has "adhd" now. there were times in the past where i'd stick through it and watch the movie but i don't give af now and close it if it's not good enough. idk i was trying to relax today and watch a 2 hour movie being comfy but guess what i'm on this shitty forum againADHD, how old are you? Wdym with shows? They are harder to watch with adhd and i haven't finished a show ever in my life because of this. No such thing as smartphone induced adhd lol, it is a completely different thing. If you experienced lower attention span with age and such thats normal with ADHD cause the younger you are the more sensitive you are to stimulus regardless of having adhd or being nt and as you age while your prefontal cortex develops, you get more grounded into adult life which for normal people is part of the natural process but with people that have ADHD it makes them go into depression or drug abuse and other nefarious stuffdon't scare him for no reason, smartphone-induced "adhd" is enough to make it hard for people to finish movies, vidya etc. I never had adhd but I know my attention span has been drastically shortened as a result of quick scroll social media and other stuff over the years. I often see comments on YT Shorts (I assume this happens in TikTok too, I don't use it) under 30-second clips by people making it obvious they couldn't finish it without commenting. E.g. there was a Shark Tank clip where the guy is presenting his pitch to the sharks, at some point he says "yeah my wife's father-in-law gave me the initial investment...", the sharks start laughing and say "lol your wife's father-in-law? So your father?", the guy realizes his mistake and corrects it, saying "no I meant my father-in-law, my wife's father haha". That's it, 30 seconds. And the comment section is FILLED with people saying "he probably misspoke and meant his father-in-law", "haha I'm guessing he meant his wife's father and misspoke" etc. People legit can't finish 30-second clips now, it's that fucking bad.everyone has "adhd" now
i need to start meditating again and delete all socials. fuck this capitalist system that milks every bit of attention from us. @Manchild would socialism fix this?don't scare him for no reason, smartphone-induced "adhd" is enough to make it hard for people to finish movies, vidya etc. I never had adhd but I know my attention span has been drastically shortened as a result of quick scroll social media and other stuff over the years, last movie I watched or game I finished was years ago. No such thing exists (well kinda, adhd similar state can present in brain traumas), its good you are self critical though and not trying to self diagnose out of nowhereearly twennies. man i probably have adhd but i think it's social media induced.
Lol since when? 3-5% of people have ADHD and highest estimates are 10-15% at mostalso feels like everyone has "adhd" now.
See answer above about thisthere were times in the past where i'd stick through it and watch the movie but i don't give af now and close it if it's not good enough. idk i was trying to relax today and watch a 2 hour movie being comfy but guess what i'm on this shitty forum again
i legit play an online browser game, as i listen to music in class cause otherwise i can't focus. it's so fucking over.I often see comments on YT Shorts (I assume this happens in TikTok too, I don't use it) under 30-second clips by people making it obvious they couldn't finish it without commenting. idk social media is full of people saying i have adhd type shit. friends and ppl i know also say the same shit.Lol since when?
The people commenting on social media videos do it as fast as possible to farm reacts because of dopamine, its not related to anything else.I often see comments on YT Shorts (I assume this happens in TikTok too, I don't use it) under 30-second clips by people making it obvious they couldn't finish it without commenting. I can't do only one thing on the PC anymore, e.g. I need to be watching a YT video while playing a game. Which means I can't play attention-intensive games anymore (like RPGs or grand strategy games), it has to be simple stuff that doesn't involve a lot of reading. Yeah it's bad, we need to detox.i legit play an online browser game, as i listen to music in class cause otherwise i can't focus. it's so fucking over.
Because social media has insane selection bias for people with ADHD for the reason that people with it are way more likely to rot in commenting sections of IG reels, TikTok shorts, Youtube vids etc. I go to university and 90% of students my age have zero ADHD symptoms while rotting on IG reels for hours when i don't do that myselfidk social media is full of people saying i have adhd type shit. friends and ppl i know also say the same shit.
Srs? Grand strategy is the most ADHD friendly genre and why its the only one i can still play alot on its own because of alot of short fuse dopamine triggersI can't do only one thing on the PC anymore, e.g. I need to be watching a YT video while playing a game. yeah but it requires a lot of attention, reading and thinking, which I can't do if my brain is already processing language from another sourceSrs? Grand strategy is the most ADHD friendly genre and why its the only one i can still play alot on its own because of alot of short fuse dopamine triggers
This sounds like anhedonic depression mixed with adhd tbh, probably seratonin predominance or low glutamate levelsyeah but it requires a lot of attention, reading and thinking, which I can't do if my brain is already processing language from another source
