No, don't waste money on contacts. Light coloured eyes are translucent and thus reflect a large portion of the light that end up in the iris. Contact lenses are opaque and can't mimic a real iris.

I don't think its the color per se that makes it attractive. Its the fact that you can only see the limbal ring with light colored eyes.
