Throughout the past week she's started SEVERAL conversations out of the blue and we've hung out once now.

But no matter how much effort I put into the conversations, they fizzle out pretty quick because she becomes very dry.

also if you shift your interest you're investing less emotionally in her, so if she's simply toying with your feelings there won't be much of an impact seeing as you've distanced yourself from her
