I can’t tie my shoes

That’s what I said at around 10 years old to my mother

She would tie my shoes every goddamn morning, I got fed up with it because I couldn’t fucking do it if I needed to.

I told her “teach me how to tie my shoes, every other kids knows besides me!” and she would just do it for me again and say “at your age you should know how to tie your shoes”

My parents never taught me anything, they always did everything for me, even bathed me in young childhood. I don’t fucking know why you wouldn’t teach your child to be independent.
Then they are so surprised when I can’t do something.

I had to learn it by myself by trying till I got it, but my parents could have just fucking shown me.

Also, they never even took me to a pool or any water so I didn’t know how to swim. This deeply perturbed me so I went alone to the swimming pool and embarrassed myself at 14 by flopping around till I got it.


And my parents call me ungrateful when I blame something simple I can’t do on them, cause they always pampered me and never let me do it alone or taught me.
