i completely forgot how to talk to people

today was my first day of school this year, since im in australia so i only finished summer break now. half the time i was walking around looking clueless as if i was new to the school or something.

but the worst part was when people tried to talk to me. i had not had a conversation with a person (besides my family) in almost 2 months. i was literally stuttering on every second word and my voice was so much quieter than i had expected it to be

everyone looked so normal, even the new kids and even some of the autists. maybe i'll just get used to it but idk, i've changed a lot in the past 2 months that i hadn't even realized until today
