There's still comfort here. The roads are well built somehow and they well lit with streetlights, 24/7 electricity, a steady water supply, and I'm living in a spacious old colonial home with old furniture and some maids to do my work but this house gives me the ick. By 6 pm the world grows still. An almost eerie calm settling over everything peaceful and undisturbed.

I spotted these 2 birds in my balcony the other day. This bird is actually from Australia but a population of them was brought from Australia to a city nearby so it's not uncommon to spot them here.

I've lived in all sorts of places in the US. Rural and secluded with lots of acreage but I've never had that. My wife had it growing up but the government is destroying it.

Yea only me and my mom that's it. Her room is in the ground floor and mine in the first. And No one else. My dad is in our other house in another city. He stayed for a bit when I arrived here after coming back to India. I wanted him to stay for longer but he said he has work and left. My father likes working i guess

The house gives you the ick because it is not your natural domain. A colonial house belongs to the White Man. You will feel more comfortable in an enclosed hut, just as a dog prefers the safety of an enclosed kennel.
