I recently deactivated my account just because I think Elon Musk is ruining the platform. If more people do that, eventually he'll have to sell it and hopefully someone who is better suited could buy it.
Twitter is a unique platform in many ways and in my opinion the only social media platform that doesn't diminish your intellectual capacity. I've used it heavily for some periods of my life, when I wanted to understand the public opinion about the events like Capitol riots. So in my opinion twitter is priceless to see the social responses without the biased filters of MSM. Also to be honest, I must say I'm not an active social media user. So not a huge loss for me and no one will notice my absence.
But because of the mentioned significance of twitter, I think we need to get rid of Elon Musk because he's ruining the only useful social media (excl. reddit) we had. He is a greedy, entitled, rich bully who doesn't have any respect to anyone else. I appreciate everything he does regarding space travel and EVs but that doesn't mean he can do every f×cking thing he wants.
I deactivated my account out of my respect to twitter and I think you should too, if you care about the future of the platform. I would never move my finger to do that for my insta or fb accounts. I care about twitter. I know there will be events in the future where I want to use twitter to understand the society's opinion and I'm afraid there won't be a community left if Elon continues to screw with twitter.
