The iconic all american M1 Garand
chambered in the .30-06 Springfield cartridge. The rifle that won the war.
General George S. Patton famously called it "the greatest battle implement ever devised". Gave U.S troops a significant firepower advantage over the bolt-action rifles used by Germany at the time.
Semi-Automatic and extremely reliable. Survived the european winters and Pacific jungles in Phillipines. Absolute masterpiece of a design. As a army brat I always wondered what it would have been like to fire this beauty. Working condition M1 Garand are hard to come by these days. Most of them end up in ww2 collectors shelves but I want to fire it one day
